About why are so many illegal immigrants finding good work in Los Angeles

Why are so many illegal immigrants finding good work in Los Angeles?
And why are they leaving such countries as Mexico? Is it greed, or poverty?

Do you have any link that supports your answer?? I live in LA, and see many people who are illegal having a bad job.... No benefits, minimum wage, etc.. I dont know if you consider that a good job..
2 :
It may be because it's so close to the Mexican border. And I don't think it has anything to do with greed or poverty. I think they just want a better life like the rest of us.

I've never been to L.A. so I'm not going to speculate on what goes on out there. But I have lived in Fla. S.C. and Mo. First let me say this, I've no problem with people coming into the U.S. legally, and earning an honest living. Now that being said. I'm in the construction business, I am one of the best in my trade, up until 15 years ago I was making $45 to $50,000 a year. In all aspects of the construction trades it is hard for all of us citizens to earn a decent living because we have illegal aliens coming in and low-balling prices to get jobs that they are barely qualified to do. Now some of you are going to say I'm a raciest, and don't have a clue as to what I'm talking about. To that I say BULL. Ladies, and gentlemen I have lived this scenario, I know exactly what I'm talking about. When I, and others can't make a decent living because there are illegals doing the work for half the price, and half the quality, there is something rotten in Denmark. Edit: Yes I know I'm ranting, and I apologize, but I am sick and tiered of liberals who don't see good honest U.S. citizens struggling to make ends meet because of this situation. When I say U.S. citizens I mean black white, Asian, Latino.... ztcca, Thank you, you just proved my final point.

What 'good work' are you talking about? The indentured servant sweat shops downtown? the day labor sites? the picking fields in ventura? I'm very confused about where all the good illegal immigrant jobs are? you did say los angeles right? And as for why people flee Mexico, greed, are you serious, have you ever met a poor mexican? Do you really think Greed is what drives them to risk their lives and leave all their loved ones behind? By the way, have you ever met greedy Mexicans, guess where they are, STILL IN MEXICO making it impossible for honest human beings to survive. Greedy mexicans don't cross the border to the US, they have no use for us, they are busy exploiting the same poor mexicans that the USA does such a nice job at exploiting. And as for the guy complaining about construction in FLA, you do have an edge over immigrants, you speak english and I'm sure you don't get taken advantage of.

About when buying a house how much does someone has to pay for paper work in Los Angeles California

When buying a house how much does someone has to pay for paper work in Los Angeles California?
I'm trying to buy my first house in california ,but I'm a little confused when the realstate guy told me that we needed to pay 17000 dls. for paper work for a 580,000 dls. duplex. He said that depending of the price of the house that would determine the amount we had to pay for paper work. Is this for reals? He also said that he was going to make an offer and was going to ask the owner to pay part of the paper work fee. Please help before I go any deeper. Any tips thanks

Robert, I'm a licensed real estate agent here in Los Angeles. What in the world are you talking about? If the property is listed for sale with a real estate agent and you are the buyer, the sellers pays your agents commission. There are cost involved in purchasing a dublex. For example: Escrow, title, mortage broker, etc.... I suggest you drop your agent and find one who is professional. Sincerely, Richard Johnston, REMAX http://www.estates.la

I strongly suggest that if your on answers hoping for the answer I would pay an attorney to deal with any paperwork regarding the figures your putting up that you definitely hire an attorney to do all your paper work. Clean no mix ups and your safe. Why riot???? Please don't fall prey to something that is not reviewed by a LAWYER, so then your SAFE Really Good Luck California Lucky You

Let get right to the point, this is the best option you can get. Please visit http://www.myloantips.com This information is great!

The *loan* might cost that much if you're paying two points plus inflated fees. The paperwork to buy the property is much smaller and the seller pays the majority of that (real estate transfer fees, owner's policy of title insurance, documentation and recording). Assuming they listed through MLS with a Cooperating Buyer's Broker agreement at least what it says on your buyer's agent's contract, your agent's commission will be paid from that. You can expect to pay for half of escrow. You can also expect to pay a few other fees that add up to maybe a few hundred dollars. You can also expect to pay loan costs if your agent didn't negotiate an allowance for them from the seller. In this market, that's pretty easy. You can expect to have to come up with the seed money for an impound account to pay your property taxes and homeowner's insurance, and you're going to have to buy homeowner's insurance in order to get a loan, but you wanted it anyway, so that if your $580,000 property burns down, you can rebuild it, right? This agent is either 1) So incompetent that you need to report them to Department of Real Estate NOW, 2) A scamster that you need to have arrested NOW or 3) So bad at explaining things that they shouldn't be in the business.

$17,000 sounds like a lot in closing costs. Is your agent doing the financing and representing you in the purchase of your home? You are the person making the offer, not your agent. They are only guides and advisors in the process. There are a few cirmcustances that your closing costs would be $17,000: 1. You are buying down the interest rate. 2. Your credit scores are not strong and you need to pay more in fees. 3. Your agent needs to put gas in their HUMMER. O.K but seriously. If this is your first home you may qualify for several First Time Home Buyer (FTHB) incentives. CalHFA.org has below market rates available as well as down payment assistance (DAPs). Depending on what city in LA you are looking at you may be eligible for their DAPs as well. Check the city web page under the housing Dept for more info. ~Danke Schoen Feel free to contact me with any other questions or a second opinion. 14 years old. You will need a student work permit from your school, and they can make their own guidelines that are stricter than the state's, like you have to keep a certain gpa, you can only work XX hours per week, etc. It will be very hard to find a job because many of the jobs teens used to get are going to their parents, adults with families, due to the bad economy and layoffs. Ask your school counselor if they know of any jobs, sometimes they get info on jobs that you could not get by yourself. Don't take it personally if you cannot find a job, it's really bad out there now, next summer will likely be better. Even in good times, it's generally hard to get a job at 14, there are more jobs at 16. If you cannot get a paid job, consider volunteer work. Many summer camps will hire you as a junior counselor, you don't get paid, but it will help you get a paid job when you're old enough. Or volunteer with an organization that has something to do with your future goals, it looks good on your college resume. Here is the info you need: Work Permit FAQ: http://www.cde.ca.gov/ci/ct/we/wpfaq.asp Allowed Work Hours: http://www.svusd.k12.ca.us/guidance/workpermit.htm Good luck!
