How to become message therapist in Los Angeles?
Hi. I just moved from TN to Los Angeles, CA. I have a Tennessee and Hawaii massage licenses but now I need to get one to work in Los Angeles. Can anyone help me find out where to go and what to do? There has been an earthquake in LA at 11:42 a.m. PDT (2:42 p.m. EDT) - a 5.8 according to the U.S.G.S. - considered to be "moderate." It's possible that there are simply a LOT of people calling (which will clog up the network), or that there has been some damage, although I haven't heard of any significant damage. I'd try waiting a couple of hours, and then calling again, if you need to call someone in that area. According to CNN, there are no reports of damage to buildings, or of any injuries, so I imagine it's just really BUSY, and that makes it tough to get through.

About Im 13 years old and i wanna work/volunteer in Los Angeles

Im 13 years old and i wanna work/volunteer in Los Angeles?
I'm 13 years old and I would really like to get a job that pays. I was wondering if it is legal in Hollywood to work. If it's not legal to work than can I at least volunteer? I also would like to know how do you get a working permit please. I was thinking of working/volunteering at a hospital, library, local stores or markets, or paper route. ANy more suggestions? Hunnie, try not to work until you have to. Working sucks. you can always get a babysitting job that is not demanding. or dog walking or something along that line. but do your best to spend your time with your friends now, because as soon as you get older your going to be working for a longg time.

Can i work in LA (los angeles) on a student visa?
im planning to move to los angeles (from the UK) in 2010 to attend FIDM - can i work on a student visa? if not is there a way i can get around it? Los Angeles - 3 Answers

Legally, this is not LA-specific. U.S. law allows persons with a student visa to work only for the academic institution (college, university, etc.) where they are a student, but not to work for anyone else. The only way around this is to get a different type of visa. Unofficially speaking, there are lots of jobs in LA where they will illegally hiring someone without checking if they have any visa. However, if the government catches you working at one of these, you might lose the student visa and have to leave the country.

Check the regulations where you got your visa. You MAY be able to work while in school, but you're not technically allowed to just come over and work. Not only could you be deported (and not allowed back in), you could get your employer in trouble.
3 :
I'm pretty sure that you can work for up to 20 hours a week on a student visa, however, you may only work on campus. I'll be starting college in 2010, as well =]
